Billings Central's Alex Chase has signed a letter of intent with Rocky Mountain College for women's cross country.
She will join the Battlin' Bears next fall, Rocky coach Alan King said.
Chase set a personal record of 19 minutes, 25 seconds while competing at the recent Billings Invitational at Riverfront Park. Her PRs in track include a 5:48 in the 1,600 meters and 2:30 in the 800 meters.
She had been recognized as an academic all-state performer in both cross country and track at Central.
"I'm very excited to have Alex join us," Rocky coach Alan King said. "She was hit with some major injuries early in her career, and for her to stay positive and dedicated to make a comeback says a lot about her desire to compete."
