Rocky Mountain College junior Daniel Thompsett has been recognized as the player of the year in Frontier Conference men's golf, while Battlin' Bears coach Aaron Pohle has been honored as the conference's coach of the year in the men's and women's ranks.
Rocky's men and women captured the regular-season conference titles, while Thompsett and Lewis-Clark State's Heather Bruce were saluted as the players of the year for having the lowest scoring averages during the season.
Bruce also earned player of the year accolades last year.
Carroll College's Katie Goins and L-C State's James Walkinshaw were the recipients of the freshman of the year awards.
Thompsett was a member of the all-conference first team, while sophomore teammate Tayler Noble was included on the second team.
For the Frontier women, Rocky sophomore Kyla Clancy and senior teammate Katy Peterson were first-team selections. McKenzie Webinger, a sophomore for Rocky, made the second team.
The all-conference teams were determined by the results of the league's three tournaments. The top five golfers received first-team accolades, while the second five made the second team.
