Joel Barndt and Brittany Kumm of Rocky Mountain College have been recognized as the Frontier Conference's basketball players of the week.

The 6-foot-9 Barndt, a senior forward from Billings, received the men's award after helping the Battlin' Bears sweep a pair of North Dakota schools, Mayville State 93-60 and Valley City State 81-58, over the weekend.

Barndt averaged 22 points, 5.5 rebounds and one assist per game. He shot 64 percent from the field and 83 percent from the foul line.

Kumm, a 5-4 senior guard from Great Falls, averaged 24 points, 5.5 rebounds, five assists and three steals as Rocky beat Mayville State 79-71 and lost to the University of Jamestown 88-77.

She shot 56 percent from the field, 64 percent from 3-point range and 92 percent from the foul line.
