Melstone's Brayden Wacker has signed a letter of intent to join the men's basketball program at Rocky Mountain College in the fall.
The 6-foot-5 forward will be joined by other recent signees: Mitch Arlian of Big Timber, Tanner Schwartz of Glendive, Ty Martin of Denton-Geyser-Stanford, Colin Moran of Sidney and Walter (Trey) Cannon of Grapevine, Texas.
Wacker was a Class C all-state and all-conference performer for the Broncs last season. He averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds per game.
"Brayden is a good athlete," Rocky coach Bill Dreikosen said. "He runs very well. He had a very good year at Melstone. I just think he's got a real good upside as he continues to grow and build strength."
The 6-1 Martin was a Class C all-state player for the Bearcats, while the 6-2 Arlian and 6-5 Moran were second-team all-conference selections in the 5B and Eastern A ranks, respectively.
The 6-3 Schwartz received honorable mention recognition in the Eastern A. The 6-1 Cannon played at Pantego Christian Academy in Arlington, Texas.
"They're all kids that have had good high school success and want to continue on to play collegiate basketball," Dreikosen said of the new recruits. "We're excited to have the opportunity to work with them and help them grow."
