Forward Jeremy Nicolas of Rocky Mountain College has received honorable mention NAIA All-America recognition for basketball.

The 6-foot-6 junior from Villepinte, France, helped the Battlin' Bears, 21-13, win the Frontier Conference postseason tournament this season and advance to the NAIA national championship tournament.

Nicolas averaged 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He shot 59 percent from the field, 50 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent on free throws.

He transferred to Rocky from Miles Community College.

Earlier, Nicolas was selected to the All-Frontier first team and was honored as the league's newcomer of the year.

At the NAIA level, Montana Western forward Jake Owsley and University of Great Falls guard Marcel Towns were second-team All-America picks. Forward P.J. Bolte of Lewis-Clark State made the third team.

Besides Nicolas, the honorable mention team also included Jacob Champoux of L-C State, Devin Jackson of Montana State Northern, Adam Greger of Montana Tech and Jake Orchard of Westminster College.
