Connor Cerkovnik, an all-conference and all-state running back who helped unbeaten Billings Central capture a state A championship last fall, has signed a letter of intent with the football program at Rocky Mountain College.
The 6-foot, 170-pound Cerkovnik rushed for 1,339 yards and 18 touchdowns for the Rams, who went 12-0 last season in claiming a state title.
"He's a solid running back who could play some other positions as well," Rocky coach Brian Armstrong said. "He's a great student-athlete that we're excited about bringing into the fold.
"I think he's got a great career ahead of him."
Cerkovnik rushed 25 times for 141 yards and a touchdown in Central's 37-7 win over Dillon for the state championship. It was the Rams' first title since 2007.
He has been chosen as an alternate for this summer's East-West Shrine Game and the Knights of Columbus Badlands Bowl.
Cerkovnik also competes in basketball and track for the Rams.
