Top-seeded Rocky Mountain College will host No. 6-seeded University of Great Falls in the semifinals of the Frontier Conference men's basketball tournament next Friday night in the Fortin Center.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Argos, 18-12, advanced by beating No. 3 Montana State Northern 64-54 in the quarterfinals on Friday night in Havre. The Battlin' Bears, 21-7, received a bye in the six-team tournament after winning the Frontier's regular-season title.

Rocky, ranked No. 11 nationally, and UGF split their two meetings this season, with the Bears winning 94-80 in Billings on Jan. 4 and the Argos prevailing 91-76 in Great Falls on Feb. 22.

UGF guard Marcel Towns scored 32 points in the upset win at Northern.

The other semifinal pairing next Friday will have No. 5 Lewis-Clark State, 22-9, traveling to Salt Lake City to take on No. 2 Westminster College, 18-11.

L-C State defeated No. 4 Montana Western 84-80 in the quarterfinals on Friday night in Dillon. Westminster had a first-round bye.

The semifinal winners will meet in the championship game on Monday, March 10 at the site of the highest remaining seed.

The Frontier champion will receive an automatic berth to NAIA Division I national championship tournament March 19-25 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.

The two Frontier quarterfinal women's games scheduled to be played on Saturday night have been postponed until Monday due to the extreme winter weather and slick road conditions.

Weather permitting, Montana Western will now host the University of Great Falls at 7 p.m. on Monday in Dillon, while Carroll College will travel to Havre Monday to face Montana State Northern, also at 7 p.m.
