PABLO — The Rocky Mountain College men's and women's basketball teams both defeated Salish Kootenai on Saturday by almost identical scores.

The Battlin' Bears men won 102-37, while the women won 102-38.

Colin May led the Rocky men with 19 points, while Latrelle Franklin added 17.

"We got off to a really good start," said Bears men's coach Bill Dreikosen. "Our intensity level was high and we got some good looks."

The Battlin' Bears women put six players in double figures, led by Brooke Jones' 16 points, while Mikayla Jones had 13.

"I thought our defensive pressure was good and we shared the ball on offense," said RMC coach Wes Keller.
