GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Rocky Mountain College men's 3,200 relay team shattered the school record at the Conglomerate Open track and field meet on Saturday.
Carrie Cota also lowered her own record in the 60-meter hurdles.
The relay team of Fred Petsch, Isaac Petsch, Benson Koech and Gino Giovagnoli ran a time of 7:51.19, easily bettering the previous record of 8:01.08 set in 2014.
The time hit the A qualifying standard for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships, March 2-4 in Jackson, Tenn.
Cota ran a record time of 10.1 seconds to finish second. Her previous record was 10.28 at the Snake River Open in Pocatello, Idaho, last week.
Bailey Bard was also second in the 60 meters (8.08) and 200 meters (27.25) for Rocky.
