JACKSON, Wyo. — Andraz Reich-Pogladic of Rocky Mountain College picked up where he left off last year, winning the giant slalom title at the USCSA Western Regional on Friday.
Reich-Pogladic led a 1-2-3 Battlin' Bears finish for the men. The Rocky women, led by freshman Lisa Hiltula, swept the top five places.
The meet continues with slalom competition on Saturday at Snow King Resort.
Reich-Pogladic won the giant slalom with a time of 1:28.53 for two runs. He was the only competitor to ski faster than 43 seconds on the second run. Pogladic, the defending national slalom champion, returned to competition this week after suffering a knee injury last April.

She was followed by teammates Susan Beks (1:34.65), Camille Virelaude (1:35.19), Emeline Lafarge (1:36.07) and Linnea Baysinger (1:36.07).
