GILLETTE, Wyo. -- Rocky Mountain College qualified two relays and two runners for next month's NAIA indoor championships while competing last weekend at the Birds & Bees Invitational meet.

The men and women on the distance medley relay teams qualified for nationals on Friday. The women finished second at 12:26, while the men were fourth at 10:32.

After altitude adjustment, both teams achieved times that would rank in the NAIA's top 10.

On Saturday, Rocky's Ana Richter (5:19) and Shawn Peden (4:26) both finished second in the mile and met the NAIA qualification standards.

Richter's time converts to a 5:13, and Peden's clocking adjusts to 4:21.

Rachael Hart of Rocky was fourth in the mile at 5:23 and teammate Jessica Raymond was fifth at 5:24.

In the men's 800, Rocky's Fred Petsch placed fourth at 1:59.42.
