Freshman Gabi Heflin, who tallied three goals during Rocky Mountain College's two soccer wins last week, has been chosen as the Frontier Conference women's offensive player of the week.

The 5-foot-6 forward scored twice during a 2-1 home win against the University of Mary, including the game-winner with less than a minute to play.

Heflin also scored a goal in the Battlin' Bears' season-opening 5-1 victory over visiting Doane College of Nebraska.

Goalie Abi Yanke of Utah's Westminster College was selected as the defensive player of the week. She had five saves as the Griffins opened with a 1-0 conquest over NCAA Division I Weber State.
