Matt Kolb, an all-conference and all-state selection at Hysham last fall, has signed a letter of intent with the football program at Rocky Mountain College.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Kolb helped quarterback Hysham into the 6-Man football quarterfinals last season. He has also been chosen to play in the 17th annual 6-Man All-Star Game on June 1 in Custer.
A three-year starter, Kolb played at quarterback and running back on offense last season for the Pirates, and outside linebacker and safety on defense.
Kolb will be a candidate to play safety at Rocky, Battlin' Bears coach Brian Armstrong said.
Rocky has also announced the signings of linebacker Jake Mader of Shepherd, defensive lineman Preston Davenport of Big Horn, Wyo., wide receiver Mike Henke of Chester and wide receiver Kalen Reed of Kalispell Glacier.
Henke was an all-state performer in the Class C ranks last fall. Davenport was the lineman of the year in his 2A conference last season, while Mader and Reed received some all-conference recognition.
