Billings high school graduates were key in the Rocky Mountain soccer teams' victories over Jamestown College Sunday at Wendy's Field.
Billings Central graduate Mikey Wall, a sophomore midfielder for the Battlin' Bears, scored two goals to lead RMC to a 2-1 double-overtime win.
In the first contest, Billings Senior product Mandi Achten, a freshman forward, scored two goals and assisted on another in RMC's 3-0 victory.
Wall scored his game-winner in the 105th minute on an assist from Oliver Gore. He now has three goals and three assists on the season. The Bears honored six men's players for Senior Day.
"The guys played well in the first half and not so well in the second half," RMC coach Richard Duffy said. "But we kept fighting."
The RMC men, now 11-2-2, close the regular season Friday at the University of Great Falls in a 3 p.m. match. The winner advances to the unaffiliated group tourney.
The Lady Bears peppered Jamestown goalie Kayla Byle with 15 shots on goal in their victory. With her scoring outburst, Achten now has seven goals and four assists.
"It was a great game for her," Duffy said. "She has been playing well all season. It was great to see her have a breakout game."
Next up for the Rocky women is a match at Carroll on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
