Mason Luse and Mandi Achten scored two goals apiece Wednesday as Rocky Mountain College opened its men's and women's soccer season by sweeping Nebraska's Doane College on Wendy's Field.

Luse, a freshman forward from Billings Senior, collected the final two goals -- scoring them about 1 1/2-minutes apart -- in the No. 23-ranked Battlin Bears' 4-0 victory in the men's game.

Achten, a junior forward from Senior, tallied the final two goals in Rocky's 5-1 triumph on the women's side. She also had an assist.

Evan Connolly and Jack Clancy also knocked in goals for the Rocky men, while Evelina Aberg, Gabi Heflin and Janell Cabrera recorded goals for the RMC women.

Luse compiled 22 goals for the Senior Broncs last fall. Heflin, a freshman forward from Senior, had 18 goals for the Broncs last season.

Rocky's men and women will be at home on Saturday for matches against the University of Mary, N.D. The women will play at 11 a.m., followed by the men at 1 p.m.
