Sophomore outside hitter Ahlea Billis pounded 16 kills Thursday night as Rocky Mountain College swept Montana Western 25-16, 25-19, 25-14 in Frontier Conference volleyball in the Fortin Center.

Billis also had 11 digs for her double-double, and the Battlin' Bears also received 11 kills and four blocks from Anna Dewald.

Rocky improved to 7-2 in conference play and 15-4 overall. Western fell to 0-9 and 7-17 with its 11th consecutive loss.

Tori Bertsch had 30 assists for the Bears. Brooke Myers wound up with 17 digs and Kylie Nielsen 13.

The Bears finished with 42 kills to 32 for the Bulldogs.

Rocky, which also had 13 blocks, will be at home on Saturday to face Utah's Westminster College at 2 p.m.
