HELENA — Daniella Russell finished with 13 kills and Sydney Matheny 11 as second-seeded Rocky Mountain College swept past seventh-seeded Montana Western 25-20, 25-15, 25-16 Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Frontier Conference volleyball tournament.

The Battlin' Bears (22-10), ranked No. 23 nationally, will face third-seeded Carroll College (16-11) in Saturday's semifinals.

Rocky's Natalie Hilderman accounted for 36 assists and 12 digs against the Bulldogs (9-18). She extended her double-double streak to 10 consecutive matches.

Holland Fergurson led five Bears in double digits with her 25 digs.

Western received 10 kills from Abagale Croninger and 35 digs from Dylan Fowler.

Carroll swept Montana State-Northern 25-16, 25-14, 25-19 to reach the semifinals.
