SALT LAKE CITY -- Tess Hagbyhn and Evelina Aberg had goals for Rocky Mountain College Saturday afternoon as the Battlin' Bears beat California's William Jessup University 3-2 in women's soccer.

Playing on Dumke Field at Westminster College, Rocky improved its season record to 6-3-1, while William Jessup dropped to 5-5.

Sydney Galletti and Janell Cabrera assisted on the Rocky goals.

The Bears, who also benefited from an early own goal, led 3-0 at halftime. William Jessup tallied its two goals back-to-back in the 84th and 85th minutes.

Rocky will play its home opener next Sunday (Oct. 6) against Westminster at noon on Rocky's Wendy's Field.
