Savage's Bridger Rice, who played women's basketball at Minot State University the past two seasons, is transferring to Rocky Mountain College in the fall.
The 6-foot forward, who was a four-sport athlete at Savage, will have two years of playing eligibility remaining with the Battlin' Bears.
Rice appeared in 42 games with NCAA Division II Minot State over the past two seasons, averaging a little less than six minutes of playing time per game.
"We think Bridger is going to bring some toughness, along with athleticism that we definitely need in our program," new Rocky coach Wes Keller said. "She's capable of playing multiple positions for us.
"She's also a very good defender. She uses her length well."
Rice averaged 18 points and eight rebounds during her senior season at Savage. She was a Class C all-state selection.
She had 42 points, 37 rebounds and 10 steals at Minot State.
"We really think her best basketball is ahead of her in the next two years," Keller said. "Obviously she came from a very good program at Minot State. We're just hoping to build off some of the things that she learned there."
Rice also competed in volleyball, track and field and cross country in high school. She also played volleyball at Minot State.
