University of Providence thrower Zebadiah Boos and Rocky Mountain College distance runner Isaac Petsch were named the Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Boos took the honor for his performance in the field, placing second in the discus with a throw of 42.80 meters. A sophomore of Mount Calvary, Wisconsin, Boos also threw the shot put and hammer at the Montana Open in Missoula over the weekend.
Carroll’s Nolan Hofstee was also nominated.
Petsch garnered the award for his times on the track. The junior from Billings took first in the 1,500 meters, running an altitude-adjusted time of 3:51.96. Petsch also competed in the 4x400 relay, helping the team to a school-record time of 3:23.68 during a third-place finish.
Carroll’s Chance Hyatt and Lewis-Clark State’s Sam Weeks were also nominated.
