Keisha Engelhardt of Rocky Mountain College was selected the Frontier Conference Newcomer of the Year for women's basketball.

WHITEFISH — Keisha Engelhardt and Markaela Francis of Rocky Mountain College earned individual Frontier Conference honors for women's basketball.

Engelhardt, a junior guard from Bismarck, N.D., was selected the league's Newcomer of the Year.

Francis, a center from Missoula, shared Freshman of the Year honors with Jenna Randich from the University of Great Falls.

Hailee Farstveet of Rocky earned second-team all-Frontier honors.

Engelhardt averaged a team-high 12 points a game this season for the Battlin' Bears. She also averaged 6.2 rebounds and made 38 3-pointers. Francis averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds a game in her first season. She became a starter late in the season and scored in double figures five of her last nine games.

Farstveet, a junior guard from Beach, N.D., averaged 10.5 points and 3.6 rebounds a game for Rocky. She also had a team-high 83 assists.

Livingston native Brian Orr of Lewis-Clark State shared Coach of the Year honors with Lindsay Woolley of Montana Western. Senior guard Caelyn Orlandi of L-C State was chosen the Player of the Year. 

L-C State won its second straight Frontier Conference tournament title and seventh in 10 years with a 57-50 win over Montana State-Northern on Monday night. Orlandi had 16 points and seven assists in the title game.
