Billings West standout Austin Berg has signed an NCAA national letter of intent to play for the Montana State Billings men's golf team next year.

Berg, a four-year letterwinner, won the Class AA state championship last fall and helped the Bears win the team title. He also played for West's 2011 state championship team.

His brother Tanner was a member of the Yellowjacket golf program this past season.

"We are very excited for Austin to be part of our team," said MSUB coach Shawn O'Brien. "He is a very talented person, who excels on and off the golf course. I believe he will have the potential to come in as a freshman and impact our team right away."

Berg was all-state in 2012 and 2013. He was also the Montana Junior state champion, took first in the Junior Americas Cup and was the Montana-Alberta Cup Champion.
