Central Washington banged out 38 hits in two games, sweeping Montana State Billings in Great Northwest Athletic Conference baseball on Saturday at Dehler Park.

The Wildcats (27-15, 16-11) won 20-6 and 7-3.

MSUB (12-27, 9-16) closes out the regular season next weekend with games against Northwest Nazarene.

CWU had 25 hits in the opener. The Wildcats started early, scoring nine runs in the second inning,  highlighted by Ben Fitzhugh's three-RBI double.

Bret Bitow had two doubles, while  Kevin Toon, Luke Reinschmidt and Casey Merritt also had two hits for the Yellowjackets.

The Wildcats had 13 hits in the second game and broke open a 3-3 game with four runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Reinschmidt had a double among his two hits for MSUB, while Connor Holbrook also had a pair of hits.
