Frame sisters set MSUB records

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Sisters Nocona and Rio Frame of Montana State Billings set program records at the War VII Clash this past weekend.

The track and field meet was hosted by Spokane Community Colleges.

Nocona Frame ran a MSUB-record time of 4:43.33 in the 1,500 meters, breaking the previous record of 4:47.9 set by Whitney Mickelsen in 2010.

Rio Frame bettered her sister's record in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:25.62.

Anthony Montanez finished second in the men's shot put at 15.23 meters and automatically qualified for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. He also finished seventh in the hammer throw.

Lewis Polkow placed third in the 400 meter hurdles (55.8) and was part of the MSUB 1,600 relay team with Ryan Blomback, Drew Galahan and Nathan Vanderby that placed seventh in a season-best 3:23.6.
