Dalton Hagadone of Forsyth has signed an NCAA national letter of intent to play for the Montana State Billings men's golf program next year.

Hagadone is a four-year letterwinner in football, basketball and golf. A team captain in golf all four years, Hagadone placed seventh at the Class B state tournament as a sophomore and 11th as a junior last year.

This year, he won the Huntley Project Invitational, along with placing second at the Forsyth and Columbus meets. He was also sixth at Shepherd.

Hagadone, was selcted to the Class B All-Star football game and was leaning toward that sport before signing with MSUB.

"I originally wasn't looking at MSU Billings," Hagadone said. "I hadn't decided if I wanted to play football or try and golf. But I attended the First Tee Montana Varsity Camp at a suggestion of my coach Gina Sorenson. While I was at camp, I was able to meet (MSUB) coach Shawn O'Brien and was just really impressed with him as a golfer and a coach.

"When I returned home, I told my parents about my experience and we decided to pursue the possiblity of playing golf at MSU Billings. The school and team are a really good fit for me as an athlete and a student."
