PORTLAND, Ore. — Alex Balog of Montana State Billings earned co-Coach of the Year honors, while seven Yellowjacket players were honored by the league's coaches.

Balog shared coach of the year honors with Clint Schneider of Simon Fraser, whose team won its sixth straight GNAC title this fall.

Balog guided MSUB to a 9-10 overall record and 6-6 in the conference to tie for third place. Balog is in his fifth season as head coach at MSUB.

Junior midfielder Guillaume Kremer and sophomore defender Oliver Posarelli were first-team selections for the Yellowjackets. Kremer led the team with nine goals and 23 points.  He scored seven goals on free kicks.

Sophomore forward J.D. Hauestein and senior goal keeper Tom Lohmann were chosen for the second team. Hauenstein had six goals and four assists, while Lohman finished as MSUB's all-time career lead for saves with 204.

Honorable mention selections were freshmen defenders Luca Battistotti and Realf Zhivanai, along with senior midfielder Niklas Schregel.
