BILLINGS — Victor Sanchez’s goal in the 52nd minute lifted Montana State Billings to a 2-1 victory over nationally-ranked Simon Fraser Thursday afternoon in men's soccer at Yellowjacket Field.

The Clan (10-2-2, 6-2-1) are ranked No. 9 in the country. It was the Yellowjackets first win ever over Simon Fraser.

MSUB goal keeper Tom Lohmann became the program’s all-time leader for saves with a stop of Marcello Polisi in the 75th minute. Lohmann, who had three saves against SFU, has 197 for his career.

The previous record was 196 by Matt Mitchell (2007-10). Lohmann, a senior from Berlin, Germany, also ranks among the top four for career shut outs.

It was the second straight match that MSUB (7-9, 5-5) rallied for a 2-1 victory.

The Yellowjackets host Western Washington on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Clan’s Mamada Camara opened the scoring with goal from four yards out at 29:39 in the first half.
