BILLINGS — The Montana State Billings women's golf team grabbed the top four spots after the first round of the Yellowjacket Spring Invitational on Monday.

The tournament concludes Tuesday at Lake Hills Golf Course.

Sarah Schroefel opened the tournament with a 77 for the Yellowjackets. She is followed by Sammy Walter (78), Bailee Dexter (80) and Shealyn Hafer (80). Renae Heisler is tied for seventh at 83.

MSUB (315) has a 15-stroke lead on the University of Jamestown.

The Jimmies' Austin Rene and Nathan Kapaun are tied for the men's lead after the first two rounds. Both have scored a two-under par 142. Caleb Stetzner and Caleb Trost of MSUB both scored an even-par 144 to tie for third.

Jamestown (294) has a three-stroke lead on the Yellowjacket men in the team standings after the first two rounds.
