Montana State Billings Yellowjackets

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Montana State Billings women's soccer team is picked to finish sixth in this year's Great Northwest Athletic Conference coaches poll.

The Yellowjackets (4-10-3, 4-6-2) were sixth in the final 2016 standings.

Defending national champion Western Washington was a unanimous selection to repeat as league champion. The Vikings have won five straight GNAC titles.

MSUB is led by new head coach Stephen Cavallo.

The Yellowjackets return 13 letterwinners, including all-GNAC honorable mention selections Jessica Spang and Amanda Hemmen.

Spang, a senior forward, had five goals and a team-high five assists in 17 starts last season. Hemmen is a sophomore defender.

Also returning is goal keeper Lili Delgadillo, who had 84 saves and allowed 1.63 goals a match last year.
