MSUB men, Rocky women win Ryder Cup

The Montana State Billings men and the Rocky Mountain College women won the annual Ryder Cup golf challenge between the two schools on Thursday at Peter Yegen.

MSUB's men triumphed 7-5, while the Battlin' Bear women prevailed 7-4.

The Yellowjacket men led 3-1 after the fall matches. The two schools tied 4-4 on Thursday.

On the women's side, Rocky was ahead 3-1 after fall play. The Bears won 4-3 on Thursday.

At the conclusion of the Ryder Cup, MSUB's men beat the Rocky men, 282-291, in dual competition.

Jake Hedge led MSUB with a 4-under 67. Teammate Marcus Drange carded a 1-under 70 for the Yellowjackets, who shot 2-under as a team.

Rocky's Tayler Noble and Daniel Thompsett shot 1-under 70s. The Bears shot 7-over as a team.
