PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Montana State Billings men's soccer team was selected to finish fifth in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference preseason coach's poll.

The Yellowjackets (3-7-4, 3-10-5) return seven starters and 10 letterwinners, including four of its top five goal scorers.

Seven of MSUB's 18 games went into overtime last season and six of those went into double overtime.

The Yellowjackets are led by senior Kyle Emerick of Billings. Emerick ranks seventh for career assists and is just outside the top 10 for career goals and points.

Simon Fraser was ranked No. 1 in the GNAC for the fourth consecutive year. The No. 3-ranked Clan has reached the NCAA Division II semifinals the past two years and has only lost four out of 48 conference matches since joining the GNAC in 2010. Simon Fraser led the nation in points and goals last season.
