PORTLAND, Ore. — Brittney Sanders, a catcher for the Montana State Billings softball team, earned first-team all-Great Northwest Athletic Confernece honors for a second straight year.
She was one of five Yellowjackets to earn all-league honors for 2014.
Amanda Todd and Aubrey Conceicao were second-team selections, while Taylor Hoke and Emily Osborn earned honorable mention honors.
Sanders, a junior from Kelso, Wash., started every game but one behind the plate for MSUB, hitting .337 and finishing with a team-high 36 RBIs. She had 10 doubles, seven home runs to go along with a .979 fielding percentage.
Todd, a senior from Billings, was 5-7 this spring with an ERA of 3.96. She pitched back-to-back one-hitters on consecutive days in her final home games. Todd had two shutouts this season and struck out 80.
Conceicao, a junior second baseman from Temecula, Calif., hit .387 with a team-high 53 hits.
Hoke, a junior from Chehalis, Wash., moved from third base to shortstop this season, hitting .316 with 22 RBIs. Osborn, a junior first baseman from Las Vegas, batted .282 with 29 RBIs.
