Amanda Todd fired a one-hitter on Friday afternoon and Montana State Billings blanked visiting Northwest Nazarene 8-0 in five innings in the second game of a GNAC women's softball doubleheader at the newly named Avitus Group Stadium.

The Crusaders won the opening game 6-4 to end a 20-game losing streak against the Yellowjackets in Billings.

Todd (3-6) struck out six as MSUB improved to 5-11 in league and 13-18 overall. NNU dropped to 3-10 and 11-25.

Taylor Hoke, Brittney Sanders and Caryn Perrigo all homered for the Yellowjackets in Game 2. Sanders accounted for three of MSUB's 11 hits and drove in four runs.

In the opening game, the Crusaders hit three home runs in fighting off the Yellowjackets. Alyssa Nitschelm belted a three-run shot in the fourth inning.

MSUB received home runs from Aubrey Conceicao and Emily Osborn.

The Yellowjackets and Crusaders will play another doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
