Sam Zook of Montana State Billings set the 200-meter indoor record at the Colorado Invitational on Saturday.

BOULDER, Colo. — One race, one record.

Running the indoor 200 meters for the first time this season, Sam Zook of Montana State Billings ran a school-record time of 21.65 seconds at the Colorado Invitational on Saturday. 

Zook, a senior, shaved a full second off the record. The previous mark was 22.65 by Brandon Pearce in 2010. Zook finished fourth overall.

Zook also placed fifth in the 60 meters with a time of 6.85 seconds.

Jorey Egeland ran the 5k in 16:14.93, which will be altitude adjusted for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships.
