TURLOCK, Calif. -- Alexis Edwards limited Montana State Billings to three hits as the University of California, San Diego defeated the Yellowjackets 1-0 in college softball on Sunday.

UCSD (28-7) is ranked 20th in the country. After defeating MSUB, the Tritons won another game later Sunday and finished 6-1 at the TOC.

MSUB finished with a record of 3-3 at the Tournament of Champions and is now 12-17 on the season. 

The Jackets' Jessyka MacDonald was locked in a pitching duel with Edwards, as MacDonald also went the seven-inning distance. MacDonald allowed four hits and one earned run, while whiffing six.

MSUB returns home for a four-game conference series against Northwest Nazarene Friday and Saturday.
