Gary Gordon of Northwest College has signed an NCAA national letter of intent to play for the Montana State Billings men's basketball team next season.
Gordon, a 6-2 guard from Philadelphia, averaged 13.2 points and 5.2 rebounds a game last season for the Trappers. He shot 52.6 percent from the field and 74.1 percent from the field.
"Signing a point guard was a topr priority for us with the loss of Kalob Hatcher," said MSUB head coach Jamie Stevens. "Gary is an important piece for our recruiting class and our program.
"He has great size and athleticism for a point guard. We love his length and we feel like he can be a great defender for us. He can really rebound for a point guard, as well. Furthermore, he knows how to run a team and will bring us a seasoned college point guard. With Gary's arrival, along with Kendall Denham coming off a highly-recruited productive red shirt season in the program, we feel like the point guard position is in great hands for years to come."
In high school, Gordon averaged 17.3 points, 6.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds a game for John Bartham High School. He helped his team reach the Public League championship game and earned all-Public league honors.
