The University of Mary football team signed three Montana players. Austin Kendall of Sidney, Tanner Oblender of Huntley Project and Jared Smith of Glasgow will be joining the Marauders.
Kendall, a 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back, rushed for 1,286 yards and 10 touchdowns on 205 carries as a senior. He earned first-team all-state honors and was a two-time all-conference selection for the Eagles.
Oblender is a 6-1, 183-pound wide receiver, who also played quarterback for the Red Devils. As a senior, he ran the ball 109 times for 577 yards, caught 20 passes for 248 yards and completed 57 of 114 pass attempts for 771 yards and 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Oblender was also an all-conference defensive back.
Smith, a 6-1, 195-pound linebacker, helped Glasgow to a District 2B conference championship. He posted 60 tackles, forced 15 fumbles and recovered two fumbles. Smith, who also competes in wrestling, basketball and golf, earned academic all-state honors.
