LARAMIE, Wyo.— The Wyoming Cowgirls basketball improved to 2-1 with a 59-49 win over the Denver Pioneers Thursday.
Wyoming's Natalie Baker led the team in points and rebounds with 11 and eight. Wyoming had 17 offensive rebounds, compared to the Pioneers' 7, giving them the opportunity for fast-break points. Denver shot a 77 percent field goal percentage, compared to Wyoming’s 69.
The Cowgirls host Cal State Fullerton at 1 p.m. Sunday.
