LARAMIE, Wyo. -- University of Wyoming swimmer Jordan Denny won three events in the Citrus Classic swim meet Saturday in Mesa, Ariz.
Denny, a true freshman from Billings West, won the 200 backstroke in 2:08.79 and the 500 freestyle in 5:06.99. She also swam a leg on the Cowgirls' winning 400 medley relay team, which won with a time of 3:53.79.
Wyoming swept both the men's and women's team titles. UW scored 526 points to win the six-team women's meet. New Hampshire was second with 443.
The Wyoming men scored 484 points to top the three-team field. Colorado was second with 368 points.
"It was a pretty dominating day," Wyoming coach Tom Johnson said. "We worked really hard this week and the kids swam pretty well today."
Wyoming returns to action Saturday in the University of Denver Invitational.
