SIDNEY -- Jacob Stanton scored 16 points and Daniel Meyer added 15 on Saturday as Billings Central defeated Sidney 55-42 in Eastern A boys basketball.
Central outscored the Eagles 16-9 in the second quarter to grab a 27-19 halftime lead and stayed in front throughout the second half.
Ryan Burke added eight points for Central (6-4 overall, 4-1 Eastern A).
Josh Torgerson, with 18 points, was the lone player in double figures for Sidney (4-2, 1-1).
The game was Sidney's first since Jan. 6 and only their second since Dec. 20. The Eagles' previous two games had been postponed after the disappearance and death of Sidney teacher Sherry Arnold.
