Billings Skyview Falcon basketball player Zharon Richmond has committed to Montana State Billings, the school announced late Thursday.
“Zharon comes from a winning program and his growth as a player over the last few years has been remarkable,” MSUB head coach Jamie Stevens said in a release from the school. “He has been great during the recruiting process, our current guys in the program absolutely love what he brings to the table, and our coaching staff can’t wait to work with him this fall. We are ecstatic that Zharon has chosen to stay in Billings and play at the NCAA level.”
The 6-foot-5 guard helped lead the Falcons to a third-place finish this season at the Class AA state tournament and was selected as second-team all-state. As a junior, Richmond was a key bench player in the Falcons' state championship run in 2016.
“MSUB is a school I grew up watching and attending camps at,” Richmond said in the release. “After meeting with the coaches and team, I quickly knew that it was the right fit for me as a student and as a player.”
MSUB also announced the signing of Kobe Terashima from Rocky Mountain High School in Boise, Idaho.
