BILLINGS -- Billings West’s girls basketball team looks to extend its five-game winning streak when the Crosstown Classic Series resumes Friday night as the Golden Bears take on Billings Skyview at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.

The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

The Bears, ranked No. 5 in the Class AA 406mtsports.com rankings, haven’t lost since they were defeated by No. 2 Missoula Sentinel in their season-opener. West (5-1, 1-0) is coming off a 44-39 win over Bozeman on Tuesday.

Skyview will be playing its second consecutive game at Metra. The Falcons (3-3, 0-1) returned from the Christmas break and lost to No. 4 Billings Senior 56-34 on Jan. 4 in the opener of the Crosstown series.

The Skyview and West boys will tip-off at 7:30 p.m., with both programs still looking to find their stride in the early portion of the season. West (3-3) has dropped its last two games, most recently at Bozeman on Tuesday night in the Golden Bears first game back from Christmas break. Cade Tyson had 18 in the game while Jesse Owens scored 13 against the Hawks.

Skyview (3-3) has also lost its lone game back from the break, dropping a close one to Billings Senior last Thursday 63-62 in the first Crosstown Classic of the year. In a battle of late free throws, the Broncs just edged the Falcons for the early-season win.
