LAUREL -- Allie McGrath scored 21 points and hit the eventual game-winner with 11 seconds left as Laurel defeated Hardin 51-49 in Eastern A girls basketball Thursday night.

Laurel led by 12 at halftime but needed McGrath's shot near the end to win their fifth straight. McGrath made five 3-pointers.

Alyssa Big Man had 17 points and Hanna Ware added 13 for Hardin, which dropped to 2-6 in the league and 6-8 overall.
