Tracy Scott has resigned as activities director at Billings Central.

Scott stepped down on July 18 to take a job with the City of Billings. She spent 17 years as AD at Central, and also coached the Rams' softball team for 11 years.

“I’m excited about the move. It was time to take a different path," Scott said. "I enjoyed my time at Central and enjoyed working with the kids and the people in the Eastern A and across the state. They’re a remarkable group of people. I developed a lot of friendships. It just got real time consuming, and I’m kind of burned out.”

“I think it’s safe to say Tracy played an instrumental role in creating a really successful activities program all the way through our school,” said Central principal Shel Hanser. “From the standpoint for her in terms of game management or running tournaments, Tracy was very, very good at that.

“She’s a very organized person, and that’s something we’re definitely going to miss.”

Hanser said he hopes to have a new activities director in place as soon as possible.
