GERALDINE -- Geraldine-Highwood scored 28 first-half points en route to a 46-25 victory over Lima in the first round of the state 6-Man football playoffs Saturday.

Jake Malek scored on a 6- and 21-yard run in the first quarter for the fifth-ranked Rivals. Wyatt McKinlay also found the end zone twice, on a one-yard run and an eight-yard interception return.

HOT SPRINGS -- Mike Gray rushed 12 times for 127 yards and four touchdowns to lead Hot Springs to a 66-8 win over Augusta in the opening round of the Class C 6-Man football playoffs on Saturday afternoon.

Gray scored on runs of 24, 13, 5 and 4 yards for the Savage Heat (9-0), who will remain at home to face Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap.

Wyatt Nagy had seven carries for 67 yards and scored on a 13-yard run. Tanner Hoff passed for 56 yards and two touchdowns.

Dave Cross scored three times for Hot Springs on runs of 5 and 11 yards, and on a 12-yard pass from Hoff.

Nagy led the defensive effort with eight tackles and a sack. Gray had an interception.

BRIDGER – Trevor Christean threw for 358 yards and six touchdowns to lead Bridger past Terry, 62-22, in the opening round of the 6-Man playoffs on Saturday in Bridger.

Christean got the Scouts on the board in the first quarter as he returned one of six Terry turnovers for 15 yards and a touchdown to put Bridger up 6-0.

The ambush continued from there. Christean tallied four touchdown strikes before the first half ended, and a 22-0 Bridger onslaught to open the second half put any hopes of a Terrier comeback out of reach. The Scouts led 56-14 after three quarters.

“They were prepared for our running game,” said Bridger head coach Mike Mathis. “Fortunately we were able to take advantage of our matchups in the passing game and get guys open.”

Todd Simmons finished with four catches for 176 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 11 tackles and an interception on defense. Logan Cummings led the defense with 13 tackles and two interceptions.

Bridger (6-2) will host Valier in the second round on Saturday. The Panthers defeated Bridger, who was without the services of Simmons, 35-22 in Week 1 at Valier.

MOORE -- Haden Wichman passed for 183 yards to lead Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap to a wild 47-46 win over Richey-Lambert in the first round of the state 6-Man football playoffs Saturday.

Wichman completed 12 of 17 attempts with one interception and three touchdowns.

Dakota Blazicevich rushed 11 times for 84 yards with a long run of 20 yards. Gavin Melichar ran for two touchdowns and caught one for three total. Carver Hofer had two touchdowns; one on the ground and one through the air.

Wichman, Melichar and Hofer each had 10 tackles for the victors.

GRENORA, N.D. – Brady Olson scored five touchdowns as Westby-Grenora ran past Custer-Melstone 50-14 Saturday in the first round of the state 6-Man football playoffs.

Second-ranked Westby-Grenora hosts No. 3 Big Sandy Saturday at 1 p.m.
