WORDEN -- Huntley Project senior Koni Dole and the rest of the Red Devils had a night to remember.
Starting at fullback, Dole scored two touchdowns as the Red Devils defeated Joliet 45-0 in Class B football on Friday. Dole scored the game's first touchdown on a one-yard run in the first quarter and added another one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
It was Dole's first football game since last Oct. 19, when he suffered a compound fracture in his lower right leg during the final quarter of Project's last game of the season. He had an amputation days later. He now wears an athletic prosthetic.
Dole was also a starter at defensive end.
"It was a very good start, a very good start," said Project coach Guy Croy of Dole's performance.
