BIG SKY -- Lone Peak High School is adding wrestling and girls tennis for the upcoming academic year.

Lone Peak, a Class C school, is expected to have almost 80 students for 2014-15.

The MHSA put Lone Peak wrestling in the Southern B-C along with Belt, Townsend, Cascade-Simms, Choteau-Augusta, Columbus-Absarokee, Fairfield-Power, Fort Benton, Boulder and Whitehall.

The girls tennis team will compete in the Southeast B-C with Townsend, Boulder and Whitehall.

Lone Peak will offer eight sports this coming year.

The school also announced the hiring of Marshall Carpenter as its first wrestling coach. Carpenter was a two-time state Class AA state champion for Bozeman and wrestled at the University of Michigan.
