Senior Lucas Gerbasi scored three goals — one on a free kick and another on a corner kick — as Billings West defeated Billings Skyview 4-0 Tuesday night in Class AA boys soccer on Wendy's Field at Daylis Stadium.

The Bears (2-1-1) also scored on a header by Paul Ashmore off a corner kick by Hayden Bentzel in the opening minutes.

"Obviously we were very dangerous on set plays," West coach Dylan Barnard. "We also did a very good job of holding the opposition to very few chances."

Ryan Cornwall was winning goalie for West.

In the girls game, West and Skyview battled to a 2-2 tie. The Bears led 2-0 late, but the Falcons received goals from Halle Labert (66th minute) and Shay Kirby (70th minute) to force the tie. Labert's goal was off of a free kick.

Justine Roe assisted on Kirby's goal.

West scored on an own goal early, and then received a goal from Madison Gosch in the 55th minute.
