Billings Aquatic Club Stingrays swimmers Chandler Crowe and Jenna Marsh were named the Montana Long Course swimmers of the year at the Montana State Long Course Championships in Bozeman.
Crowe will be a senior at Billings Skyview in the fall, while Marsh will be a junior at Billings Central. Also honored from the BAC was Lucy Kramer, who was named the Long Course assistant coach of the year.
The BAC squad finished second in the boys division and third in the girls division at the Long Course Championships. A total of 35 swimmers from the BAC competed in the meet, claiming 19 individual wins and more than 160 top-eight finishes.
For the BAC boys, Conner Funke won all eight of his races in the 11-12 age division and set state records in the 400 IM and 200 breaststroke. Funke also swam to victory in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, 200 IM, 50 and 100 freestyle and 200 butterfly.
Also in the 11-12 division, Ethan Harder swam to wins in the 200, 400 and 1,500 freestyle as well as the 200 backstroke. Pierce Oja (15-16) claimed wins in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, and Conrad Smith (13-14) won the 50 breaststroke.
The BAC had four individual girls champions. Rylee O'Neill (9-10) won the 100 butterfly, Dara Crouse (11-12) won the 200 free, Alyssa Boese (13-14) won the 200 butterfly and Sophie Malin (15-16) won the 1,500 freestyle.
