The Billings Invitational Wrestling Tournament and Billings Invitational Swimming Meet are both scheduled for this weekend.
Both events are traditionally the first meets of the season for their respective sports.
The wrestling tourney is at Billings West Friday and Saturday. A round-robin tournament will be held prior to the 16-wrestler bracket starting Friday evening. On Friday, the round robin begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. The bracket tourney will start at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the second round begins at 10 a.m. and the finals will start at approximately 5 p.m.
Teams entered are the four Billings high schools, four-time defending champion Gillette, Wyo., Laurel, Shepherd, Huntley Project, Conrad, Columbus-Absarokee, Hardin, Belgrade and Worland, Wyo.
Admission is $6 daily for adults and $4 for students.
The four Billings high schools, Bozeman and Hardin will compete in the swimming meet on Saturday at Rocky Mountain College. Warm-ups are slated for 11 a.m. and competition starts at noon. The pool at RMC is located in the Fortin Center.
